In my 13 years as a therapist, I have come to view psychotherapy as an interactive process which combines my personal and professional insights and guidance with a respectful attendance to the client's own agenda and healing.
I believe success in therapy is determined by:
A safe, caring, professional relationship between client and therapist. The client's motivation and desire to change. The skill, knowledge, and sensitivity of the therapist.
Depression Relationships Midlife Parenting Grieving Infertility Abuse Separation, Divorce & Custody Eating Disorders Self-esteem/Self-image Substance Abuse Anxiety & Somatic Complaints
Individual Psychotherapy both brief and long term.
Couples Therapy focusing on communication skills, problem solving skills, and family of origin issues. My speciality is working with mixed race and mixed religion couples.
Family Therapy with single parent families, step-families, same sex parent families, and adult children and
their parents.
Consultation on many issues for people who do not feel the need to be in therapy but may need occasional
help with a particular problem.
