Hypnotherapy: Selective Awareness
Hypnotherapy is a safe and empowering therapeutic adjunct, which can be usefully applied for improving confidence, concentration, creativity and performance. It is also helpful in breaking through blocks, habits, fears, phobias and past trauma.
Hypnotherapy, through selective awareness and relaxation, is useful for stress reduction and for easing and controlling both chronic and acute pain.
We’ve all been unconsciously hypnotized in many ways by our past experiences, cultural assumptions, family interactions, traumas and joys, anxieties and areas of learned helplessness. Common language usage and the surrounding din of media messages adds to the confusion.
Hypnotherapy works in the opposite direction by allowing the client, through selective awareness, to reach a place of profound relaxation. From there healing can begin and the creative self can be freed up from the limits of this past unconscious "hypnotic programming."
A large part of hypnotherapy is actually "un-hypnotizing." Furthermore, by learning self hypnosis the client can be empowered with a resource that can be used over and over again.
