Relationship Therapy
My specialty is interpersonal communication. I have worked with couples,families and groups for the last 30 years. I teach Family Dynamics, Marriage and Couple Counseling and Group Dynamics at the California Institute of Integral Studies where I have been on the core faculty since l984. I have been an adjunct professor at JFK University where I have taught Family Case Seminar 1996-2005. I also taught Marriage and Couple Therapy at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto. My therapy style is informed by Gestalt therapy, Systems therory, my own psychospiritual practice and my 19 years of teaching experiential classes. I enjoy working with couples and families in particular. Often what looks like a problem to be solved can be a gift in that it turn out to be an opportunity for mutual growth and evolution. I have been licensed as a psychologist since 1978. My private pratice is in Berkeley close to public transportation and wheelchair accessable. Insurance is accepted. I have recently written a book entitled "Core Focused Family Therapy: Moving From Chaos to Clarity" with co-author, Ross Cohen. Publication date: June 2008. Available at idyllarbor.com or amazon.com.
