Coaching Services & Rates

The more I worked with clients on strategic and communications planning, the more I found myself engaging in "coaching-like" conversations-- asking questions to build clarity about where they wanted to take their programs, their organizations, even their lives. I therefore sought formal training (through The Coaches Training Institute), and I now offer this as a distinct service, available on the individual level, or providing coaching within your organization.

Who uses a Coach & Why?

  • Managers and directors seeking to take their leadership to the next level.
  • Individuals in transition-- early in their career, in the middle, or approaching retirement-- who want to integrate what they love to do with making a good living or enjoying a productive retirement.
  • Individuals who feel "stuck"-- whatever they're doing-- and who want a structure to help them move into action towards what they're committed to.

Coaching is...

  • an opportunity to consciously deepen your own insights and translate these insights into action.
  • an exploration into your interpretation of events and into perspectives that will advance your goals.
  • recognizing and putting into action your creativity and strengths.

Coaching is NOT...

  • therapy; you are creative, resourceful and whole, the expert on your life; you have the answers. My job as your coach is to be a very focused, intentional and constructive listener, asking you powerful questions.
  • advice; a coach offers you a chance to examine what you are doing in light of your intentions and challenges you into actions that will result in the life you want.

Coaching results include...*

  • a foundation for your continued growth.
  • lasting, sustained change.
  • change that continues to evolve beyond you, to others with whom you come into contact.
  • resting easily in your own skin, confident that you possess an incredible depth of capabilities and have the insight to focus your energy to make things happen.
  • a quiet ease and playful strength that naturally inspires others to expand their own horizons.

How does Coaching Work?

  • While we will design together a program most suitable to your situation, a typical coaching program includes an initial two-hour "discovery" session followed by three 45-minute sessions per month for a minimum period of three months.
  • Generally, coaching calls take place over the phone, with calls happening every week or two.
  • During this time, you identify one or more desired outcomes you seek to work on over the course of the coaching relationship.
  • Calls include a combination of inquiries and actions (between calls) that move you towards your desired outcomes, that help you understand where and how you get stopped, and that help you put into place support systems to overcome your challenges and reach your goals.
